PSDI: Electronic Research Notebooks: Implementation & Adoption Success Stories
re you considering implementing an Electronic Research Notebook (ERN) for your institution or research group but aren’t sure where to start? Have you perhaps already tried to implement an ERN and were unable to overcome certain obstacles? Or are you a digital master who has successfully implemented one and want to share your experiences? Join us for a thought provoking online meeting to share knowledge around the practicalities, benefits, and success stories of ERN adoption.

HDR UK Early Career Researcher Conference 2026
This annual event celebrates and supports the vibrant community of PhD students and early career researchers working across the UK.
The conference will bring together health data researchers from across the UK to share their work, hear keynote speakers, and network with peers who are shaping the future of health data science. The day will include a mix of talks, poster sessions, and opportunities to learn about new methods, collaborations, and career pathways in health data research.
Abstract submission for our poster session is open. The submission deadline is 23:59 GMT on 18 January 2026.
RSECon 2026
The conference committee is made up of volunteers who give time and effort from October 2025 to September 2026. You don’t have to be an RSE or in the UK to join. You don’t need experience in organising a conference as guidance will be given at all stages. RSECon26 marks the 10th year anniversary of the conference and we’re looking for people who are willing to volunteer for the RSE community and take an active part in organising the special event.
Details of the committee roles and the structure are given here:

The conference is co-led by the Logistics Chair (Michael Donnay) and the Programme chair (Romain Thomas) and supported by the Logistics co-chair (TBD) and Programme co-chair (Twin Karmakharm). The chairs work primarily delivering their respective area, along with the Steering Group Chair (TBD), Fundraising Chair (TBD), Treasurer (TBD), and EDIA Chair (TBD) form a steering group for decision making.
